What a fantastic vintage dough mixer James ....where on earth did you find that ? You really are analogue in lots of ways aren't you? Love that ... Of cCourse we will want to see the outcome too ... .. once you get the fishes too you'll be feeding the five thousand  next !

It was in a charity store in Alamogordo, while I was living in New Mexico about ten years ago. Interestingly, the previous weekend, my electric mixer had started to smoke while mixing bread (high altitude and high torque electric motors don't mix well).

Well I am very impressed .. Looks like it dates from early 1900's according to the inscription . What a fantastic way to bake and exercise at the same time eh ? ...I  am feeling really hungry in anticipation  now .. Beepy's bread made my mouth water too !

Yes, it's over 110 years old (the time of Teddy Roosevelt & Edward VII), and does a far better job of mixing bread than any electric mixer. I only noticed today that in 1906, the US patent office issued patents on Christmas Day!

Thanks Clicker, weird thing was there was another of those lifeboats a little bit further up but not in the water.

Day 27: A Walk around a local nature reserve

Had the best beef fillet off the bbq with crispy onions mushrooms and  sauteed tates for supper ... washed down with a very nice red ... sometimes you just have to say bug*er the calories !   Cheers Beepy !

I think there are quite a few around. There was one on the Kennet & Avon a while back.

Hahahaha - about two inches at most. Shot it with the 35/1.4 so the DoF fell away very quickly.
