It's a shame about the haze in the distance, on another day I could have seen Wales clearly, that's the way is was so nowt I can do about it. Some of you may recall my recent post in which I posted a shot taken from a microlight when passing over this point. The terraces are what is left of the Iron Age Fort that occupied this hill all those years ago. It's great up here and I love to go and sit there for a while and let my mind wander and try and think about how all that soil and rock was moved by man power alone. It's impossible to show the extend of the earthworks in a photograph, pay a visit if you can sometime.

looks amazing john, what a view, and that is on a hazy day...must be wonderful on a clear day then. it looks lovely in large viewing, those iron age terraces really stand out clear.

annie... I'm going to get you up there one day... mark my words...  :yes

annie would no doubt love to be up there John, on the coldest,  windiest day in sub-zero temperature when you can see for absolute miles. In fact, she would probably beg to be able to walk up there under those conditions ;)

Is this still the Malverns? If I remember right, one side is Worcs, the other is Herefordshire.

Chris... yes this is the Malvern Hills. The hills are roughly eight miles in length and point North/South. Please don't take the following figures as completely accurate as I'm guessing a little, about 60% of the hill range is in Worcestershire, 35% in Herefordshire and 5% in Gloucestershire.
