Messing About With 55-300mm lens

I was plodding around on the beach and found these in a couple of rock pools.

I only had the long zoom with me and no polariser to dull the walter reflections but these were shot at the 300mm end of the zoom and with a bit of editing I managed to bring out a bit of detail.
The fish thingy is one of those translucent things that you can hardly see against the sand.
The crab must have spotted my movement as he was scurrying away to dig himself into the sand.

Slightly cropped.

Very good Tina... I love a bit of rock pooling myself... I'm like a big kid sometimes... you know little things please little minds... and all that.

We never seem to see any Starfish these days. I wonder what has happened to them as there used to be some in every rock pool we looked in at one time.

The same with hermit crabs too.
