Lovers at Sunset

Recommended Posts

This couple were clearly in love and held hands and cuddled a lot as they walked along Blackpool beach one sunset evening.

I'm torn between a people shot or a landscape shot, seeing as it is both really, but ostensibly it was meant to be a photo of them. Set off very nicely by a wonderful sunset across the Irish Sea.

Unfortunately I neglected to speak to them and so couldn't offer them the chance of a print...

I have to agree with Annie's comments re the colour and composition etc. Very nice indeed.

The subject matter and the title are just a little too schmaltzy for my taste, but that won't stop it being a real winner with others.

That's a shame, I'm sure they would have liked a print, it's a lovely shot of them against the sunset. Also, the fact that they aren't identifiable from this, actually adds to the romance, anybody could 'read' themselves into the picture.

Being super-critical there's a slight edginess around the couple, as if slightly oversharpened, but I suspect that is due to being resized downwards for posting.

I thought it was your good self Paul.

I'm still a member, but perhaps not as frequent a visitor as I should be.

Apart from running my own forum, its mainly the EOS forum, and of course here on TIPF now.

BTW, the 'star field' is actually the 'Horsehead' and 'Flame' nebulas.
