Oil painting effect on Lighthouse

Denis

Recommended Posts

I have never manipulated an image so that it does not resemble a photograph before. So, playing around with an image I took in Brixham last week using 'FastStone' this was easily done.

For some reason I happen to like it.

I may even print it and hang it in the downstairs loo!

Sorry Denis, can't say I'm a fan of this one. This kind of effect can work given the right image but I think sometimes it is used to try and make something from very little. I would suggest looking at these effects from the point - 'would I paint this scene' 'would this scene make a good painting'.

But trying something new is always worth the effort and I will applaud you giving it a go and maybe it will stop family members spending to much time in the loo. ;)
