Punk!

Recommended Posts

We were waiting outside the Station at Coventry when this young man came walking towards us to go into the station.
He was walking too fast for me to get a shot, but when he realised that I had my camera at the ready, he back-tracked and posed for me.

I have cropped a little to get the best of his pose and expression.
Such a cheerful young chappie and he certainly brought a smile to my face.
I thanked him, and he was on his way.
I was so glad that I didn't miss this shot.

love it :)

one of my best friends was a punk, I admire people who don't care what other people think and get on with life the way THEY want too.

Me too. I am still trying to persuade my daughter to put purple streaks in my long hair again.

She did it for me about three years ago, and it looked quite trendy.  :smiling:

I will be 70 this year, but who cares.

Thanks, Everyone. He was certainly full of fun.

When my Granddaughter was a baby, Her mum and I went to a machine yarn factory in Leicestershire and coming home, we folded the buggy which was quite heavy ready to get on the bus.
Along came a punk with very colourful hair, rings through his nose etc.

We were a bit dubious, but when it came to getting on the bus, he asked very nicely if he could carry the buggy onto the bus for us.

Punk are a little eccentric in the way that they look, but underneath they are as soft as putty, who are just expressing themselves.
I quite like the way they look, and especially their coloured hair.

An excellent character study Nanny............looking at the identity tags ....I am wondering if he was about to travel up to the Edinborough Festival, or to some other event.......alternatively he might have been returning from one?

He looks quite strange carrying a folded black brolly.......I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't a street performer of some kind?

"Now I know what you're thinking. 'Did he fire six shots or only 5?' Well in all the excitement, I kind of lost track myself. But seeing this is a Magnum, the most powerful handgun in all the world, and would blow your head clean off, you got to ask yourself one question - 'Do I feel lucky'. Well, do ya punk?"

ii think this character would give Harry Callahan a run for his money! Very menacing. Great shot.
