They are both very striking with superb detail and colour. The first one in particular appeals to me, capturing that amount of detail on a white subject with a dark background is never easy.

I do wonder if the second one has been slightly oversharpened. The petal edges, especially at the left, appear to have a distinct edge to them.

Thanks for the fed back Bugs, I see what you mean.Since I got these b****y varifocals processing has been a bit harder. I have just noticed that there is a tiny bug on the tip of the lowest left petal, Didn't notice that before

Lovely photo's. Terry.

I had to get a cheap pair of glasses just for the computer.

They would have only been £25 from Specsavers, but I paid an extra £10 as the lenses would have been quite thick making the specs heavy on my nose. They are just the job and take a lot of strain off my neck and eyes, because I don't have to tip my head up to see out of the close-up part of my lenses.

Hi Tina I had a second pair as part of the BOGOFF offer that is classed as occupational varifocals but they are still taking a lot of getting used to with the lap top. The day to day glasses are fine.

What great flower shots......the camera settings look to have been perfect.

Variofocals..........loved mine since I first tried them many years ago......I hated that intrusive and potentially dangerous line across the middle of my Bi-Focals..........I used to carry lots of crafts filled boxes up and win stairs at various events, I could never see the stair treads properly until I had Variofocals.

You will find that they get easier and easier to use as your eyes get trained to look through the most useful area according to task........the only real problem I get is if I attempt to change a ceiling light bulb, I find it impossible to see what I am doing.....so I leave that to others now.

We humans can be very reluctant to accept the ravages of aging ......I know far too many folk who ....over time.....have discarded their free NHS ....Glasses.........Dentures.....or.....Hearing Aids ......because they only tolerate them for a couple of days instead of persevering..........Sadly, in my dotage.....I need all three to function properly.... Thank God for our hard working over stretched NHS.
