This Week

Recommended Posts

This weeks adventures with an iPhone:

I try to get out every night after work with the boys and the dog for a walk. Does us all good and its a nice way to clear the mind having had it battered by customers for hours on end.

Instead of our usual wander over Cleadon Hills (photogenic though it is) we went down the coast the other night and walked along to Souter Lighthouse.

Great walk, great location and great light:

For the first time since early October last year I have been working in Sunderland this week, I was coving one of the branches there because of staff shortages.

Very weird feeling walking over the bridge and past the old, still empty, and very decrepit looking Jessops on Fawcett Street. I did take a picture of it but its a record shot and not of much photographic merit.

Did get a few I liked though:

Had a quiet afternoon in my store and while my mind was wandering I decided the bit of the counter where you hand money etc through looked interesting.

A quick shot, a bit of a fiddle and that has been my week so far:

You live in a very Photogenic area BP, so much contrast between Town, Industry, Coast and Countryside.....................A very interesing set......The first shot was crying out for a proper camera ;-)

The second could be a study for a modern-day Canaletto-like painting:

The Subway has a definite Urbam Grittiness, plus fascinating light:

That last shot is pure abstract:

BP, the first location looks a lovely place to walk and clear the mind. I do get the sense that you are 'playing' with the rest, but I like the variety, and the way you have seen things as subjects. An interesting set :D
