AQUA STRUCTURES

This creation was inspired by a prize winning shot in an exhibition, but that was a very subtle study of a mass of embroidery threads, processed to give the illlusion of great depth and reality; so much so they looked as if they could be picked up:

I took this particular shot of a plastic washing up brush beneath fresh suds in our washing up bowl some weeks ago now,  I suspected that it too had similar properties if processed creatively:

All that you see here, was really there, all I have done is used my usual soft brushes on layers to tease outalmost all the tones, then used the same technique to sharpen certain areas to add both texture and depth:

I have been amazed by the sheer beauty of an everyday thing like washing up suds, they have so much depth and Space-Station-Like structure:

That is quite fascinating. It could almost be an aero bar with a coloured streak running though.

I have a fascination with silver or coloured foil which has been trodden down to make crinkly patterns.

Perhaps you could come up with some challenges for us in the winter months, Fuji..
