Beautiful, fantastic Skomer Island.

Just a few shots I took when walking on Skomer, I didn't want to change lenses on my Canon as I was there to photograph Puffins so I knocked these off with my little Panasonic. The flowers are Bluebells & Red Campion, this is the only place I've ever seen Bluebells out in the open like this, they are really a woodland flower. I understand that Skomer was once a wooded island and the inhabitants felled the trees over a period of time. No one lives there now and the island is a nature reserve, when visiting you get a short talk by the warden and everyone is told to keep to the footpaths because there are ground nesting birds everywhere.

It's beautiful. I had heard of it but hadn't seen any pictures from or of there until you posted.
