CS6 STACKING Part Two

Still learning about CS6 Stacking capabilities....so far, I am very impressed:

This stack used a series of Eight old files taken for using the free software last year......I did use a tripod in this case.....the software today aligned all eight highlighted shots after a short time, then they were blended, taking about the same time:

All I had to do was to crop to make the composition better.....then a touch up in layers then a final sharpen.......again......I am very pleased:

Sadly, our beautiful Passion Flower vine succumbed to the frosts of last winter:

Nice stack Fuji, it's very sharp.  Did you use the best aperture for your lens and extra shots rather than stop down to a smaller aperture for for increased depth of field with fewer shots?

The question is covered in depth here, lenses are usually at their sharpest a few stops down from their maximum aperture. However when using a lens for unstacked macro work it is a compromise between best aperture and depth of field, so smaller apertures need to be used. However once you remove the depth of field constraint by stacking it is best to use the lenses sharpest aperture and simply take more images for the stack.
