excellent :)

I have no luck with birds, sure they can hear my camera being lifted to my eye!

Hi, Leon,

I used to have this problem way back when I too only had a Bridge Camera............It was before I had my ears tested, I hadn't realised just how much noise it made as it focussed, then gave a lovey (not) little...PING! as an audio focus confirm: Unknowingly (after years of using woodworking power tools) I had lost all my High-End hearing.........after my NHS heearing aids were fitted, I returned to a very noisy world...now I can hear every Ping! Ting! and Whistle.

Also, with birds, (and insects) you need to develop a very slow and stealthy approach, then to stand still for a while.....Just dont take your dog or wear your best Flourescent Vest.......You should have much more success with your newcamera and a 70-300 lens:

Now back to the Tree Creeper........WE had one visiting our garden for a short time, they arent easy to see and extemely shy.....You did very well there Bugsy.
