Flowers in Jephson Gardens

Recommended Posts

It was a lovely warm, bright day so we jump on a bus and headed towards jephson Gardens in Leamington Spa.

It was aa bit more practice for me with the D3200 and I was quite pleased with todays effort.

My friend told me that the read tulips were called Parrot Tulips.
I tried to get a shot with the sunlight shining through the petals as the dark burgandy colour glowed.

Have included a close up to show what the petals were like.

The single yellow tulip is as it came straight from the camera.

More back lit-ones.

I don't  know what this one is called, but it's in the wild bit of the gardens so I assume that it is meant to attract the insects, butterflies and bees.
Thanks to several members of the forum, I now know this flower to be Alium. Thanks for the info.
