THE JOYS AND PITFALLS OF STREET PORTRAITS

Yesterday, I spotted this man approaching...I see him quite often so plucked up the courage to request a Street Portrait....he flatly refused, then walked on ..as I commented sotto voice..."That's a shame"....at that he spun around and said..."OK then just one"

No time or inclination to spoil the moment, so it was just...Aim and press shutter....hence the recovery, via Silver Efex filters .

I must admit I'm not keen on either version.

That was the reason for my title Rye.....

An amazing subject/character..... refuses request at first...then suddenly turns on his heels to say it’s OK..... no time to alter settings, not right to ask him to move into better light.

But not press the shutter and I miss that amazing face.....it is a rescue shot, that could have been rescued better....I will return to it before it goes in my next Photo-Book.
