AQUAINTANCE

Having been a in and out of local branch Specsavers

during the past week or so....I was taken by the superb publicity portrait of a gent with stubble which forms part of their current publicity display.....you have probably seen it yourselves?

I made up my mind to ask the next stubbly faced fella I met if he would mind having his portrait taken.................Today, it happened...... an aquaintance had just completed an hour or so of strimming and gardening in the warm afternoon sun which was very strong, hence the strong shadows.

HIs steely blue eyes, his designer stubble and intense look give the shot the gritty edge that I was after.......I would like to do more of this kind of portrait, but using flash and or lighting next time........ if I could find willing subjects.
