Out today at Jesmond Dene - Decide I'd go light so only took the K30 and the 50mm.

Some of these were taken with the lens on the camera - an odd statement unless you've read my Free Lensing thread - and some with it held in front.

The great thing about a bright aperture prime is you can shoot at or very near wide open and its still biting sharp but gives a fantastic OOF background.

Shooting with that in mind makes you look for shots that benefit the 'look' and can make for a great days photography.

Thomas - all shot with the lens on the camera.

And a bit of Free Lensing fun. Didn't have a macro with me but pull the lens away from the body and it does the same thing (sort of) and by twisting lens so its not parallel to the mount you can move the plane of focus so it doesn't sit horizontal on the scene - you can make it follow features.

BP, that kid of yours is a real poser.......he always looks so full of beans.

Your .....Off-Lens technique is really working......something I will have a go at when I find a suitable subject.

I have the Macro set up on camera currently, but the weather here remains far too cool for insects, bugs and spiders,
