YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER’S REFERENCE LIBRARY

Chasing the Light.....a story of two books......

Last Monday whilst in Leamington, and after visiting my brother in a nursing home, I had an hour to kill prior to a hair-cut appointment.

I spent over half an hour over a coffee and a bun, then went to browse the Photography section in Waterstones book shop.....that did it....I left £20 lighter with a new book entitled...FOCUS....by John Neel...published by Ilex.

It is an excellent up to date primer on all things ...Lenses, and Focus....including ...Tilt-Shift ...Focus Stacking and home made solutions.

Then, a couple of  hours ago I spotted a similar looking book called....CAPTURING LIGHT....by Michael Freeman.....also published by Ilex.....this one cost me just £4 so an absolute bargain.

The first book is fine if you really want to brush up on lenses and focusing....but....the second....IS JUST TOO GOOD TO MISS.....it being a wide ranging, expertly written, beautifully presented and easy to understand explanation of ...HOW TO GET BEST USE OF LIGHT ....Light of all kinds....

I’m not usually one for book reviews, but, if you are serious about your photography....it is a MUST .....for you personal reference Library.

Take a dekko on Amazon or even ABE Books to see what you can get one for....

Somehow your post has come out as black on "almost black"  which makes it rather hard to read! So I have taken the liberty of copy and pasting it via a regular text editor to remove the formatting.

Thats why Fooj ... ... it usually keeps the original formatting when you do that unless you specifically change it so it would be the black or dark grey you use for the text in your email ..Look interesting... the books anyway.. thanks for that.
