I've recently I discovered that one of the regular Market Traders is also a very keen photographer, every Thursday for the past few weeks we have exchanged ideas on Cameras, Lenses and Processing  ....well...all things photographic.

 

He had never seen or used a SONY A55before, so asked if he could have a go.....and being as I was the nearest subject he pointed my 50mm lens at me........here is the result.

 

It made me feel, like I must make many of my subjects feel, but as it was jointly agreed that the pic could be taken, that was OK.

 

Now....being in this section, do I come under..People, Portrait ....or....Glamour????

As you never see yourself normally like this,(mirror image it isnt)  what do you think of it ?

 

That comment may sound odd but a photo is not how we see ourselves through a mirror, and as our faces are not symetrical they look different from a mirror image

Many portrait takers of the past reversed the negative so the sitter saw what they normally see and were pleased when they paid up  the others were too polite to critises (its not a good likeness was the out of ear shot remark)

 that's a 'keeper'  you look to have a nice warm glow, maybe due to the cold weather?

Ah! There's a reason for the rosy glow......the market stall I was partially standing under has wide red and white stripes leading to WB issues, I did attempt to correct it in CS 3, obviously with no much joy........mind you, the freezing temperature didn't help either........

A portrait that I took of the stall holder proved unusable because of this issue, it is something I must be aware of in future
