On a trip to our local tip site this morning, and we always have to check what the attendant has in her car, because she is a wild life rescue person, (very active, and we help her when we can, with anything she might find useful). This morning she had a tiny Wattle Bird fledgling that had fallen from the nest, and is now 'in her care', and it was very warm and comfy in the fluffy boa in the colour matched box:

Now that is a one off picture Dee... you'll never see one like it again...  birds are notoriously difficult to rear  without their parents  but it looks like he /she is not far from fledging .. hope there is a happy outcome .

Should be Polly - this woman is phenomenal in what she achieves. She also had a tiny joey in a pouch, which had undergone a bone graft in the last few days, but it was too fragile for me to disturb it to photograph.

She  sounds   a very kind and dedicated  individual Dee It's always inspiring to hear of people  that renew one's faith in human nature. We tend to dwell on the bad news too much sometimes and forget that the majority of people are kind and generous .
