For me the negatives seem a bit thin and very contrasty (even for my tastes), I think the next roll I'll try ID11.

I've also got a few from the Kennet and Avon Canal on the last third of the film shot with the prime lenses that I'll get post-processed over the next few days

Interesting to see that in the days of digital and iPhones, that there's still people using film... good on ya... Mind you, I finally finished a roll of colour film that I started last year and sent of to be processed today. Not sure what the film was other than iso200, camera was a Canon 300, lens Canon EF24-105mm L f4 lens, so I'll be interested to see the results... Forgot to mention shot 3 was my favourite...

I think film has passed its minimum, there are a number of new/revived films coming into production now as well as the big four (Kodak (both), Ilford & Foma (mono) and Fuji (mostly colour)).

I get the feeling that shots like #3 are what P30 does best -- my more normal fare of landscapes with sky and shade were coming out over contrasty, the ones I posted here are some of the less extreme examples. Good as ir is to try various films, I think the two "classic" Ilford films FP4+ and HP5+ work best for my style.

There's obviously still a call for film though, or they'd have stopped making it. I know the US National Park Service documentation programs, the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER), and the Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) all require large format film-based photography. 4×5", 5×7", and 8×10" large format film formats are the only acceptable formats for inclusion in these collections at the Library of Congress.

Very impressive, I wish I still had my darkroom, Im envious,

I've not yet started doing darkroom printing, so only scanned negatives. I had booked to do an introductory darkroom printing course at AG Photographic in Birmingham last May, but the instructor was ill and had to cancel.

Hopefully, when AG next have a darkroom workshop I'll be able to go. I'd very much like to get a feel for what is involved before committing to get a lot of equipment, if nothing else so I know what I really need and what is optional.

hope you get a darkroom James, there's nothing quit like watching a picture appear rom the tank

I've developed and printed my own B/W images whilst at college and it is an interesting process and particularly satisfying watching the picture appear.. Especially as you know you've done everything yourself, particularly the getting the film out of it's cannister and into the dev tank in pitch black......
