My  ancestors on my Dad's side came from Little Wigborough, not a million miles from there ...I've only been as far as Layer De La Haye.. Composition  works for me Geoff  and the texture of the  grass adds interest in the foreground area nicely .Works nicely in Mono ..

Thanks Clicker, We only popped in on the way home from a trip to Suffolk, so I guess we possibly could have passed through the places you mentioned.   It does work in colour, but I felt that mono adds to the atmosphere,

Its a great place to visit with a camera rocead, loads of photo opportunities with this end, West Mersea, which is the working part,  and East Mersea which is all beach huts and sandy beaches. If your a seafood fan try The Company Shed for lunch, its run by the fisherman with there fresh catches on the menu, but its wise to phone a book, especially in the high season, and if you want a drink you need to take your own wine. And yes I did take a lot of photos, but have only just returned Im still working through them.
