PIPER PIPER PLAY FOR ME

Whilst in London on Sunday we had three hours to kill before we could rejoin our grandaughter in the Albert Hall, it was far too cold to venture anywhere outside, so we browsed many of the fascinating galleries in the V&A Museum.

I was more than pleasantly surprised to discover that photography was allowed in most of them.....the lighting is kept deliberately dim for conservation purposes, it also throws awkward shadows so the photographer must make the best of a bad job.

I couldn't resist a shot of this Bagpiper...........I really should have made a note of who he represents and who the Sculptor was, but in the tangle of other visitors I forgot:

Converted to Mono in CS3 then given a little Contrast Grading plus a little selective sharpening to add texture and depth:

Best viewed LARGE....click on Pic:

Good you found stuff to interest you, and keep you from the cold, Fuji. That looks an interesting statue. How big is it?

I would estimate ....about half life size Kobione:
