Snowdrops & Crosses.

Hello All - sorry I've not been posting much over the past couple of weeks as the flu finally gave me my winter ration and apart from looking in occasionally I've not really felt like doing a lot.

But at last I’m starting to feel like getting out of the house so today I thought I would go down the road to Tattershall Castle and take a few photos of the snowdrops, well that was the plan unfortunately it is closed until next month!

So instead I had a walk around the adjoining church grounds to see if I could make anything of the view from there and even managed to find a clump of snowdrops.

Great shots that bring back happy memories, of pleasant but hard working days....

Tattersall Castle was just one of the Historic Sites I worked at, I was the Tudor Toymaker there on a couple of a occasions, then I ran a Staff Training Day, the Castle has a collection of my ....Hands-On... Replica Tudor Toys and Games in its Visitor Collection.

Once we stayed in what was a tatty pub nearby, the other guests had a bit of a shock to see me in full Tudor Costume at breakfast.......I loved that place,especially that amazing staircase.

The Church, if I remember correctly is one of those that houses a large colony of protected Bats......all the pews, Font, Altar, and Lectern, have to be covered with plastic sheeting in between services.

although the picture doesn't show it as well as it looked there was still a little mist/fog in the air.
