It's been the same here too, just seemed to get darker and darker..

So today's image, not the best I've ever done for the One A Day challenge, but a Cormorant on a old mill lodge just around the corner from my house that I spotted on my way home from town after paying a bill. I have seen them on the River Irwell in the centre of Manchester. To be honest I never expected to see one so far from the coast - we're a good 30+ miles from the coast by road.

Bit  of an experiment here  ......this is a photo taken of the late  Jane Bown a brilliant portrait photographer who worked  for the Observer  Newspaper  and  who was responsible for some iconic portraits that  i consider memorable ..

I watched  a really interesting documentary that I had recorded from The Sky Arts  channnel  and took a photo of her  on the screen and did a mono conversion .. Usually It's  quite difficult getting rid of lines and a Moire effect  but I was  quite pleased with the result  ...and besides ... I'd forgotten to take a pic for today .... Oh dear  again ..

Love the  Garage  today  Phil ...  lovely reflections ...
