A new camera launching

Recommended Posts

For anyone contemplating a new camera at a reasonable price you might consider the, about to be launched PANASONIC GX78.....all the features of the interchangeable lens models, plus a few surprises....the spec is fantastic...

ive just read up on it.........I'm happy with my GX7 .....but would consider this, if I didn't.

The GX8 is a superb bit of kit, but it's just over a grand. Jessops are doing the GX7 at £349 and then there's £50 cash back from Panasonic. Makes a lot of financial sense if you don't need or want the extra bells and whistles.

That GX8 does look bloody good, though and if I didn't need to convince management, I'd have one tomorrow

I was looking seriously at the Fuji XT-10, but when I did some financial considerations, the GX7 won hands down. VERY pleased with it - had some super results and it's a joy to handle. Lovely and light to carry around, too. The Panasonic G forum is a bit naff, though.

Known as the GX80 outside North America, apparently. So  it looks as if Korky's link might be the one.

Introducing the GX85 / GX80

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX85 (known as the GX80 outside of North America) is Panasonic's latest mid-range Micro Four Thirds model. It sits in the company's 'GX' series which is used to denote that it's targeted towards dedicated enthusiast photographers but priced as a mid-range model.
