Nicely done Chrissie - we don't have Remembrance Sunday over here, but I'm doing extra work with an exercise group on Wed 11/11, Remembrance Day, and we will be having a minutes silence.

Being born during the war, I was brought up to have great respect for all those who fought and who worked in dangerous jobs, and I  and still have that respect for the soldiers of today.

  Just back from a local Remembrance service   and remembering a grandfather,his brother and five other great uncles who were killed in the  Great War. Thanks for  starting the thread Chrissie ... you might want to read the poem I wrote when I followed in Grandfather's footsteps in Flanders  in 2013. 99 years after he died. It's on  my blog spot ...
