Return visit to Ratcliffe

So yet again it's a five o'clock rise and out of the house by twenty past. The forecast was promising and I hoped to get the shot I had planned for two days earlier but which had not quite worked out due to persistent fog. As I neared the chosen destination I saw an opportunity and despite my wish to press on to the same spot as before thought it would be foolish not to take some shots when a gift was being offered.

As with the other I see you've given the 5Diii an outing, did you let the X-T1 have a turn, I'd be very interested to see a comparison?

Loving the colours, a very industrial scene made appealing :yes

I do keep meaning to do a comparison but on the last two occasions - no.

Another memorable image Bill... I am in awe of your work ... Reading your blog, I agree about mostly hating  the network  of  pylons that are  straddling our countryside ...but like wind turbines ... I have to sometimes admit they can have  an unworldly beauty  given the right  artist's view. Inspiring work.

As an industrial scene its works extremely well and I like the way you use the power station as part of the scene and not THE scene as so many others seem to do.

Glad to see you use the pylons to good effect Bill, for me they either enhance a picture of ruin it, and while we have 2 points of focal interest here it seems to work well,

Geoff

I did take a picture of the power station on its own after this shot but it was a much lesser image; the two work for me and of course it's the power station that provides the need for the pylons and cables so the picture shows the rationale as well as the plant.

Shot is glorious, but not loving the colours - way too magenta for me (a personal thing).
