It was just parked there - no idea where the driver was, but it was still in steam.

You can tell from the registration where a vehicle originates from : BL on this very old plate means the vehicle was registered in Berkshire.

As for Fred Dibnah.....he used to live just down the road from me.

Seems a lot of famous people have roots in Bolton.

Not a well known fact but Sir Arthur Henry Rostron who captained the RMS Carpathia lived in a house in the next street to me.

For those that have never heard of the Carpathia........it was the ship that sailed to the rescue of the Titanic.
