LIGHT AGAINS DARK

Sometimes, during my daily walk into town, something special happens.......yesterday it was seeing this young lady sitting against a dark background, she was with a companion and a very large Malamute? Dog.

it was after I had admired her dog, then taken photographs of it that I plucked up the courage to request a portrait....... to my surprise, she readily but rather bashfully agreed....

I really hope that she emails for her copies....

Thank you Polly.... the lens I am using allows just over the proper social distancing....it is more of a portrait lens...

I am only shooting in colour with my GX7 during my morning walks..... The GX8 with its special...Leica-like...monochrome setting is fascinating me....it produces these amazing results, almost straight out of camera.

my aim, now, is to get my shots right in the viewfinder.... so minimum post processing....almost, but not quite back to old film days.

MY FUJI  XT3  can simulate 9 different film types with  a red yellow or green filter too plus varying degrees of  film grain  or not, as required ... I find, as  you say, that you need less post processing , very often  especially on portraiture ... you might be interested to read the  link on the Acros  b/w film simulation option I have  on the  camera .. There is something beautifully  nostalgic and retro that  just  takes us back to those old days of film without the hassle  for me ...

Keep up the good work Fooj ... It's great to see ...
