FURTHER WORK IN THE DIGITAL DARKROOM

I feel that I’m getting the hang of my iPad-Pro PIXELMATOR apps now......it is surprising what can still be teased out of a long saved JPEG file.

The original to this was very bland.....seen here in the lower example..

A great bit of mono processing, Fooj - that iPad and Pixelmator are certainly delivering the goods now.

Hmmm interesting ... I have to say ... apart from liking the darkened background on the top image, isolating the head more and thus increasing the impact with that alone , I much prefer the second one Fooj as far as the  processing of the face goes ... I feel I want to combine those two elements and just darken the background of  the second image.  Just my opinion though ... and I know you always like honest feedback . He has a Clint Eastwood look about the eyes hasn’t he ?

I'm with Polly here.  I like the isolation in the top image but prefer the tonality of the second.  Nice portrait though.  You do find some interesting subjects.
