The Chapel - Chatsworth House

The Chapel at Chatsworth had been given over to exhibiting an installation by Damion Hurst - shown in the first image.  Like all of his more recent work, it was no expense spared in that it is totally covered in gold leaf.  It depicts a man who has just cut off his skin with a pair of scissors - (I have no idea so don't ask???).  The second image is of the chapel ceiling which I think is rather beautiful and contrasts with the much more modern piece by Hurst.

As Kobione has pointed out, it's worth viewing these in the larger version.

Always. In fact, I'm considering going back to the smaller thumbnails to force members to click.

And yes, the images are impressive, it's a good few years since I was at Chatsworth so must be time for a re-visit.

Thanks both of you for the comments.

Rye, I doubt that we would ever know.  It's never likely to happen.

Phil, for what it's worth, my feeling is that what you see first is the shop window and smaller thumbnails can be a bit off putting for someone thinking of joining the forum.   They will not be aware of (and may not have access to?) the alternative option.  On the other hand, members can always make the point if they feel it necessary.

i always click on the larger version ...it's now a habit anyway ...but I tend to agree  with John.... it isn't obvious that the option to see the larger version is even available ... Can that not be added  ...ie under "send sticky note"  Say .. For LARGER  view  click on image ... its easy to forget that navigating a new forum can be  tedious if it takes too long to find out how things work ...
