Its the 7th of December and the 707th day since we started

No wonder I'm beginning to feel a bit photographed out.... still we're getting down to the last 20 odd days....

You have been amazing Rye  Beepy Simon and Kevin.... I faltered a few times ....whilst on holiday , I never seemed to catch up  for weeks after  and then sometimes there seemed to be events that took over my life in other directions and  Though I never missed a day actually taking a pic , I sometimes  found it difficult to find the time to edit and post it ... I never wanted to get into the position where I was just snapping anything and posting it just to say I had . The pics are still there to edit and post ... I have a list of them and the dates and one day I ll just do it . What I love about embarking on this trip which should have been for two full years, is the way it gave me  the chance to discipline myself  into being undisciplined....not to follow rules that are often supposed to be synonymous with good photography , and not to always know what you want to photograph when you pick up the camera every day ... sometimes the larger picture , literally, though pleasing , is even better broken down into it’s minimal element , when it still tells the story  but almost becomes an icon of what draws you to the image you wanted to capture originally......almost like the very essence of what made you look the viewfinder in the first place ...

Anyway  ... I am feeling lousy with a barking cough that makes my chest feel like it’s has been torn in two and my head explode: been in bed with lemon, honey paracetamol strepsil lozenges,  cough medicine and two giant boxes of tissues for 36 hours... in between short bouts of coughless  sleep immediately after the medicine takes effect , I have had time to think. So just thought I’d put down my thoughts cos today ... I actually did NOT take a single photograph ... and that is the very first time I haven’t clicked a shutter every day since I started on January 1st 2016 .  Thanks for the company you guys .. it’s been epic it really has .. xxx

I've finally found a good way to photograph my little cat, I have to set up the lights first, plonk her down and then tease her with a yukka leaf... She either runs off straight away, in which case I then have to chase her up and down the house, or she sits and watches it or tries to grab it and eat it...

I must admit after 707 days I'm starting to run out of things to photograph, these winter days have been the hardest as it tends to start getting dark so early....

Finally topped off the tree at work so I can finally say its Christmas....
