Fortunately not, JH, although we did stuff one tyre up on another road and had to replace it in Alice Springs.

It was hot and sweaty, Korks, but there is a strange beauty in the harshness and isolation out there. It was when we stopped to take this photo that the road train, that I showed you earlier, went past and covered me and camera in red dust.

The photo is of "gibber" desert, which shakes the absolute crap out of everything.
