  1. Makes me feel so sad thinking of those poor people
  2. OK, for this week I'm looking for photos which contain a shadow. Yours, someone else's, a shadow cast in nature, the shadow of an inanimate object...anything at all as long as it casts a shadow and the shadow is included in the picture. Old or new pictures are acceptable and the challenge will be open to entries from now until midnight 26h May, when voting will commence until midnight 2nd June (oh my word...June!) Go looking for shadows and do it with fun! Weekly Challenge #98
  3. The photo I used was from my very early days of photography with my old canon 1000d if I remember. I belonged to another forum that no longer exists and one of their long time members commented that this bottle photo was the best of my images so far. I was as proud as punch. I later found out he had terminal cancer and don't know if he is still with us or not. So it has go d memories for me. Thanks for voting for me. Much appreciated.
  4. Theme was spot on. No need to worry about small entry levels. It happens.
  5. Im busy from now till 5pm today. Dont think I will get the chance to do poll till after then. If anyone can oblige that would be great otherwise it will be later today. Cheers.
  6. Kobione. A great win and interesting take on the theme. Well done
  7. This weeks challenge is to take a photo of something that has a bottle or bottles in it. Coloured bottles, nicely shaped bottles, beer bottles, decorative bottles, shadows of bottles.......just let the imagination run wild. The theme is open to your interpretation and pictures may be old from your archives or new and taken especially for the challenge. Entries can be submitted from now until midnight 12th May then voting will begin till midnight 17th May Good luck, enjoy and show me some fantastic bottle photos#
  8. Wow thanks guys. Been busy 'truffling' the last few days and missed the outcome here. Will get the new theme up shortly.
  9. I'm still unsure at this stage
  10. My poor spelling......sorry. I was thinking more in countensile around the city
  11. Him indoors is thinking of coming. Where are you guys staying overnight?
  12. Clarification required....stradford or stradford on Avon?
  13. Is there decent cycling in Stratford?
  14. Remember last years debacle for me? Train broke down about 20 mins from setting off and we were stuck forever then got towed bavk....Dare I risk it again?
  15. I was in the local rag on Monday about my truffle business. This is a link if anyone wants to take a peep: http://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/sunderland-businesswoman-s-sweet-taste-of-success-1-8503216
  16. Playa De Muro, Mallorca - Got up specially for the sunrise and it didn't let me down.....however, I wanter to wait for full sun up, but Dave (hubby) had no coat, jacket or jumper and it was freezing, windy etc. Also, I didn't have my tripod so couldn't go for a longer exposure to get a bit of silkiness to the water. Still, I'm happy with it.
  17. Sorry if I missed doing something. Mind has been on sun and other holiday stuff! Thanks if someone stepped in.
