  5. I am going for the Polaroid auto set. I have read the reviews and they seem to be the next best to Kenco. I could get the Kenco but I need to spread the dosh as there are one or two bits I still have left to get. I feel I need a set of extension tubes now I have the nifty fifty lens.
  6. Hi ya.. They are all nutters here, I am the only sane one!
  7. Some really lovely pictures for me to choose from this week. Really liked the Snowdrop shots from Bugs... And Cheeky 2 from Bill But the picture I love is Leons 'Admire The View'. I just love the way he has caught the chap taking in that view, makes me wonder how many times he has stared at that scenery. I think it's a lovely picture.
  8. well if it's gonna keep your home warmer it will be worth it all nanny, and you will find your fuel bill dropping a bit too hopefully..
  9. If ever I get a moment to my self I shall watch this one. I shall bookmark it.
  10. Thank god for BP....I have been having nightmares since reading this, peering down the canon looking for mushrooms. I have probably done more harm than good now...
  11. I use good quality pre creased cards, as Richard has described, but I do not print onto these directly. I print onto good quality paper and then border with peel off's from craft shops then mount onto the pre creased card, I use silicon for gluing as it is slow curing 24 hours, transparent when dry and can also be cut with a sharp craft knife, some crafters use tiny little pads that are sticky on both sides. You can buy cards with apertures pre cut if you want to mount your picture behind, these have two pre creased folds and look great, but be sure to get everything the right way up and the right way round before gluing down, and it's also nice to trail a part of your picture out of the pre cut aperture, you would also need double sided craft tape for these. If you have a lovely flower, print a few and build them up..say three layers, this means a lot of fiddly cutting out! Then with either your silicone or sticky pads the fun stuff begins, building up the image, but be sure the finished product fits the envelope. I don't use any special software. The paper/card used for printing will be dependant on your printer. If you are going to print directly onto your pre creased cards, you can always embelish them further with peel of borders and such if you choose. If you are looking at selling your finished products, cello bags are a must. You do have to present them in a professional way. clean, protected and in something like a wicker basket. I do not offer any sentiments in my cards unless asked for specifically, this way they are usable for all occasions. Price the finished product, I sell mine at car boots and charge 1.50 each....I have a board that sits at the end of the basket of cards stating the price.. There have been times I have sold 20-25 cards in a morning. I was charging 1.00 but too many people buying the damn things said I was under charging! So up went the prices..and I found I was still selling them.

    EYES

about 8 years ago I spent four hours trying to dig a contact lens from my eye..in the end I gave up and went to bed...the next morning my eye was oozing gunge and as red as a beetroot....after a whole morning and a very thorough eye check in casualty the next day, they found no sign of a lens...it then dawned on me that I had never put it in and that was why I had been complaining the day before that my vision was awful!....The doc was lovely, Italian, cor....so he the made fact I near on blinded myself and had to wear a patch for a week worth it..

  18. awful by my taste....arty farty nonsense in my eyes..
  19. My stomach churns at the very thought of it...
  20. I don't know what it would have to get to for me too wish for cold....even our summer of 76 was not too much for me, I did not want it too end. I just love the feeling of the sun burning through to me bones, and being able to sit outside in the garden all evening, I loath winter, dark, miserable, cold, damp.
