I've been after a X100 since they launched so there is history behind this possible purchase. I also want something smallish and lightish but still able to offer high IQ without breaking the bank....if I had that sort of cash I'd be talking about more glass for the X-T1. I tries a Lumix LX100 which was lovely and I've tried a GX800 which was kinda cute.....but.....the tiny sensor is a no go so it has to be APSC. I know the X-TRANS inside out, the lens is a peach, the controls are close to my T1 and it is an absolute joy to use. It has a thumb rest on which is fantastic in the hand but using it I've found it stops you accessing the exp comp dial. Its these little things I need to explore before I hit the purchase button.

Is there any camera you regret not still having
Black Pearl replied to Nikonmike's topic in General Photographic
Out of the hundreds of cameras and camera systems I've owned the ONLY one I've regretted not still owning is my Contax G outfit. To be fair I probably wouldn't use it and the lenses are a PITA to adapt to the Fuji but there was just something about that camera that I loved and it hangs about nagging at me. -
I had a bottle of that last week - what a bizarre experience. It really is jammy and while a little sweet for my taste still went down a treat.

Can I just say I am in awe of your processing skills - you have a style that is distinctive, consistent and produces an image with fantastic depth.

Thanks old bean - these things lend themselves to macabre and unusual styling.

Your iPad can handle raw files and with apps like Lightroom Mobile you have pretty much the same controls as you have on a desktop.
