Well firstly im going to use this to say i hope everyone has had a really nice new year clearly the time off over christmas has been very productive for some of you and we have had loads of really lovely images this week. Why do you lot always make this so difficult for me ? lol ive finally whittled it down to three and im going to give them 1st 2nd and 3rd place as they are so difficult to choose between. third place for me was Korkys Sunday morning edit, i loved the textures and the way Korky managed to make a piece of stone seem to be brimming with emotion and sadness. Second place for me was Martyns final resting place ( 2nd image on the thread ) i loved the way Martyn caught the light and the atmosphere of the image. Also such an unusual subject matter send me scurrying off to research them more. 1st place for me though had to go this image from Martyns New years Day Morecambe thread. The subject matter is one of my favourites, the light is beautifu, i love the blues hues with the sudden shock of red in the picture and the way you seem to fall into the image and your gaze goes off into the distance forever. so congratulations Martyn and very well done The full thread can be seen here http://www.tipf.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=4825

  14. On the last occasion I left a 12x16" print of my backside in the dryer. Childish, perhaps, but I enjoyed it.
  15. love these, ive seen a few like this circulating on FB but have to say its lovely to have one that gives some information about each photo to go with the image thanks for posting
  16. ah what a lovely post im so glad your enjoying the forum Dont get me wrong, we dont live in wonderland, we do have our disagreements on here, but mainly they are dealt with in a friendly or at least polite manner. for the most part we all just rub along with each other just fine though... i think it helps that we are all slightly mad in our own unique ways shhhhhh Have a great new year and a lovely 2014 yourself, and the same goes for the rest of you too !
  17. hiya Graham and a very warm welcome to the forum had some of my best holidays on the broads in norfolk )
  18. congratulations David, well done !!
  19. well done BP congratulations !
  20. i went to several weddings last year and each time the bride and groom asked Richard and I to take photos inside the church and out and at the reception... we were asked to be the official photographers but politely refused as its not something i want the responsibilty of. However my point is that they asked us to take the photos as guests. So perhaps we need to take into consideration the wishes of the bride and groom before we complain about guests taking photos
  21. Hi Brian, welcome to the forum i look forward to seeing some of your images
