Nicely caught! What's the little white critter in the second photo? If it is a critter?

Great choice! Well done.

I do like the new masking options, although I tend to stick to LR far more the PS, but being able to select a sky or subject with one click and then intersect the mask is very handy and it does a great job.
As for the shots, that first one is SUPERB! The colour is just spot on. Love it.

@Clicker If it helps i will note time and dates it occurs and message you along with the error. From memory its always a DNS failure but I never paid that much attention.
Where is the site hosted?

If the forum is to actively seek new members, the pages up time does need looking at. It isn't uncommon for the page to go down for an hr here, an hr there. Doesn't bother me so never complained, but I can see this putting off many new people....unless it's only me that has this issue?

I'll be honest....so did I when I took it!

I think for the most part, the members on here engage with content and the comments are constructive, fair and always posted with good intent. The biggest issue I see is lack of members, or at least active members. I am as much to blame as anyone as I tend to post a fair bit for a week, then get side tracked with something and disappear, then come back a week or a year...or 5 years later....but I'm still here....
The question is...do we want more members? This would of course make the forum more lively, with more content. But also dilute the small community we have and make the forum less personal. The personal side is something that has kept me here. You get to know the members and every comment or post is from a familiar name.
I can't say wether or not more members is the right thing...but if you do want more members, perhaps setup an Instagram Profile for the forum, and share images to it from here. You'd have to ensure members are happy with this and write it into the T+Cs, but a IG profile, with perhaps the POTW posted, properly tagged, linked back to here and the members own website or IG profile etc....you could do the same thing in FB with a FB page, restricting peoples ability to post the page, but used as a portal into the forum from FB.
Social media has pretty much killed the online forum. Use social media to bring it back.
Another option, form a 'proper' photography club, perhaps with a closed section of the forum so it isn't open to every member of the public...have a monthly challenge, send the best images to Amateur Photographer Magazine each month and try to get recognition in print....other magazines are available.

I posted the old station last week that sits below the cliffs at Lizard Point. This is the new station that replaced it, about 1 mile or so around the peninsula. Not so easy to access by foot, and I wouldn't recommend standing where I was if it's too windy or you may get a closer look at the lifeboat than you intended.
I really wanted to get a longer exposure from here, around 4 mins or longer but there just wasn't anywhere stable enough to put my tripod.

At 200mm, focusing just 10m away is giving yourself a very small dof to work with, around 30cm. Great for bokeh, but on a moving target its gonna be near impossible to nail focus I'd say.
Check your focus mode and make sure your on Servo so the camera constantly adjusts the focus if the subject moves. Back button focus may make it easier.
Stopping down will help. Lenses down like being wide open and won't be at their sharpest. Using a slightly shorter focal length will give you more dof to play with. Less bokeh, but more room for error.
If you're not familiar with dof and what affects it, do a Google search for dof calculator and play with the options to see what I mean.
All that said...I'm no sports photographer so others may have better advice.

Hello!
Any chance you could post an example image with exif? If you could also give estimate to the distance of your subject and state where you focused I or another member may be able to offer some ideas?

Great shot...budget lenses get a lot of stick, but use them right and you get some great results.
