Having learnt a few lessons from my last attempt before Christmas got there early (see sunset post) again very cold and yes remembered tripod torches etc< Stats where extremely high for Aurora but with full moon bringing different challenges. So soon as dark came it was kicking off but only for camera, later it got better and at one point we could see green by the eye. Hers my first edit (need to learn and practice this type of editing) and i am pleased with the new lens my manual focusing etc

Thanks, He is actually a Hancock Lurcher, Red Merle which is a 1st cross between a Greyhound and a Border Collie The Merle is skin pattern/colouration and the colour of the eyes. Hancock Lurchers ar bred for the colourations and to keep one of the longest oldest mix of Lurcher as they wher back in the 1200AD when Lurchers back the where either Greyhound x collie or Bedlington terrier x whippet. but nowadays any sighthound x with working dog so modern Lurchers can and are often made up of several different breeds

Visited RAF Congingsby the other day and managed to see Blackjack (The Typhoon that does the air shows}take off and landing and 2 extremely long range shots of a practice display on the day. conditions were not good and had to do a lot oon the 2 long heavily cropped shots to get rid of noise.
