Yes you’re right it was near a weir. How did you know?

Actually these are Grey Wagtails, whilst they are mostly yellow, they aren't the Yellow Wagtails. Yellow Wagtails have yellow on their wings. I'm, surprised you didn't see Pied Wagtails, they look identical but are Black and White. Great shots of the adults feeding the fledgeling.
Ah thanks, Ryewolf. It was a guess on the ID. They are lovely little birds: a pleasure to watch flitting around the river. We have black and white wagtails in Australia which have similar behaviour.

I wouldn’t have thought Blackbirds would catch fish. Interesting. Lovely photo too.

Thanks Ryewolf. I think the composition is not great as the foreground competes too much with the castle. Cropping didn’t see to help. Feedback welcome

It's great to see so many members posting photos, no doubt influenced by the warm weather in the UK. I short-listed several including Paul's macro "4 insects" especially No. 4 of a hoverfly, Monkey's "Huge Sky" and Hatter's "Wrest Park" but my selection for POTW goes to markknittle61's moody photo of the Methodist Cathedral Tulsa Oklahoma. I love the moodiness of the building with the light illuminating the doorway and steps. I assume this result was achieved with some skilled post-processing.
A note on the subject itself- I didn't know there was such a thing as a Methodist cathedral. My mother's family were Methodist and the churches I went to usually timber and simple in design. Interesting.

Like Reywolf, I'm very pleased to see some macro photos from you. I'm guessing these ae all tiny insects so difficult to get such detailed photos. The hoverfly photo is a very appealing image.

Brilliant colour in the sky. Well captured. Would have been glorious and so momentary, it’s easy to miss the shot if you muck around with the camera settings.

Great set. Lovely colours in the whole scene. #4 is my favourite.

I like this, Hatter. It would look good in black and light.

Good portrait of the singer in uniform.

I like the photo’s moodiness. The light on the steps and doorway attracts the eye.

Great environmental portraits. #1 and #4 are my favourites.

I prefer the top one with original sky. It could improved by boosting the contrast of the sky a bit if you are able to.

I agree with Paul that the composition and colours are most attractive in the 4th photo. All are sharp images.

Oh wow, I guessed the gesture was something other than a Victory sign but didn’t know that history about telling the French to f..k off, we’ve still got our archery fingers. Ha ha.

Photos: "Humans of South Side, Glasgow" - street journalistic style which seems fitting for Glasgow.
We stayed in Dixon Avenue near Victoria Road which is a grungy, multi-cultural district with a multitude of vaping shops (vaping is huge here), charity shops (op-shops), criminal lawyers, cafes. People ride bikes at great speed on the bike lanes beside the foot path.
