That's interesting. I don't know if they are so devastating here. I'll find out.

Better without the humans, in my humble opinion. The AI generative fill is amazing. I‘ve just started exploring it.

Thanks Paul. I wonder if this one is a vine weevil. I’ll try to find out.

Thanks Rye and Paul. Serious question, Paul. What makes weevils pests? I know little about them.

Very sharp. Well done, Mikbone
What lens did you use?
I know there's a way of checking this myself but cant remember how to do it.

Not a cliche to me. Is it a railway station?

I like the abstraction of this.

Great to see so many posts this week as you take advantage of the summer. I enjoyed Skullfunkery's set of seascapes and have chosen the last one of the Ogmor by Sea for POTW. I like the composition with the out of focus background, the textured rocks in the foreground and misty atmosphere achieved by the long exposure.

An excellent capture. Has me wondering why the spider is carrying the big egg around.

I like the heron amongst its natural environment. Reminds me of a painting I bought in Bali decades ago depicting a heron amongst the tropical forest.

thanks everyone. I tried to capture the amazing light of the sky with the vibrant colours of the carousel. It's not quite as I remembered it..
I tried to apply a motion blur filter to the carousel but didn't the wherewithal to select the carousel and not the surrounding fence.

Excellent tonal range, Ryewolf.....even if it is a diesel.

Great capture of the bee against the soft colours of the lavendar flowers.

Agree with others preferring the last one. It has a calm vibe that the others dont have, for reasons I'm not sure of.

An interesting selection as always, Fuji. The "hard" looking man's dog looks like a Kelpie (Australian sheep dog) which would needs lots of exercise living in an urban area. No wonder he's got one of those ball throwing devices.
Regarding the gear you're using: these shots are pretty sharp for a vintage lens. What's your opinion on it?
