  1. The good ole days Wordstar with Cntrl K + B for bold ... Lotus 1-2-3 until Excel came along. DOS and commands like DIR, CD!!
  2. No idea - Just saves looking up a file name as you can drag the image. It picks up similar images too so perhaps cropping doesn't matter too much. Not noticed any facebook stuff come up though
  3. Not quite on topic but it might help. You can search Google (image search) by dragging your photos into the search box. Not a lot of people know that.
  4. I pity the poor shop assistant when his boss says that should have been £420 That sounds a fantastic bargain!!
  5. Don't they like the president? Hope it's sorted in the fairly near future. 70 paid up members is a fair number in any sort of society or club.
  6. Thank you, Kobione Again, many thanks to you all for such a warm welcome. Great forum!
  7. I use Cliik insurance - £5m public liability. PI insurance (I think!) £250k per claim and up to £1m per year. Camera equipment to £5,000 from vehicle, post or haulier's vehicle and various other things like monies up to £500 and items like: "All Fixed Glass and Sanitaryware" £10,000. I do like curries but sometimes wonder what items like this mean The premium is £317 this year and I think was just under £300 last year. When I started I did wonder whether PI insurance was worth it but think that if someone asks you to take an event (wedding or whatever) and your equipment fails (e.g. computer crash and you lose all images) then the PI should come into its own. And if you don't charge I don't think that's any excuse not to produce some reasonable images. So, for me at least, I value the PI (Professional Indemnity) insurance.

Many congratulations! Still can't get over the colour of those eyes!! Well done!
  9. I like those two - interesting to see the narrow lighting on the batteries and I like the exposure on the cat.
  10. Thank you, Ron, Fuji, BP and Kate - can't do any more likes for the time being so you'll have to join the queue heehee! Looking forward to posting more but just feeling my way around at the moment - being careful so far
  11. Thank you, Phil and hi Hope I remember all your names
  12. Thank you, everyone!! What a warm welcome - must come here more often I'm at Fromes Hill, near the tank, John. I grew up near Banbury, Chris and some of past family are from near Warwick. Thank you, Fuzzy - only been to Yorkshire three times I think but can remember each trip - lovely part of the world. Thank you for the photo comment. Yet again, I've forgotten to clone out that white pixel/plane in the top right ... grrr .... having "spotted" it, it annoys me now. Thank you Korky and Nanny
  13. Thank you - I like friendly places I also like Newcastle - strong family connections and although I don't visit it much, I do love it there when I go especially around the Quayside
  14. Thank you! Great smilies and other accessories in here
  15. Thank you for allowing me to join up Hello. My name is Edward and I'm a photoholic. I was given a Kodak Instamatic in about 1971 (aged 9). Skip forward about 40 years to 3 years ago and I bought a Canon 5DMk1 and then a new 6D in February and by the end of tomorrow will have put 10k images on the clock. I use Photoshop and Lightroom and shoot in raw. Photography is now my job - and enjoyment! To date I've mainly photographed equine events but love landscapes, nature and all sorts including commercial work. I have recently made steps to join the wedding photography arena. One of my favourites to date:
