Yes - I hate flying.  Used to have to for work on occasion, but now I don't have to.  Whatever inspired my sister to buy me a ticket for my birthday, I don't know.  However, her kids and sister-in-law went, so she was happy to join them and I got out of it.  I'm OK with boats (however rough the North Sea) and cars (have driven in banger racing) and horses - which are probably far more risky, but not as scary!  :-)

It was Leicester Airport and Helicentre - I think my sister was joking when she said it was Leicester International Airport - most of the little planes there didn't look (or sound) any faster than my Golf!  lol

I hope you don't mind, but your pic reminded me of when we had a bit of very close helicopter excitement.

An elderly neighbour had collapsed whilst gardening, we were surprised to hear and the to see this Air Ambulance circling very low over us, to make a landing in the field just behind the house.

I grabbed my SONY A55, I had never used the video setting before so was uncertain of my skills.

After a good half hour, and knowing that my neighbour was safe, I videod this very skilled pilot do a reverse Take-Off.........I was as close as I dare be, having been instructed by one of the crew where to stand for my own safety.

Helicopters, are very noisy beasts, and I don't blame you for not wanting to go in the one you picture......I wouldn't either ( unless in an emergency of course)......We can only admire those who fly in them regularly......like this.....turn your volume up for best effect.

Love the video, Fuji - what amazing control!  Hope you don't mind - I've shared it on FB with my sister and told her when she's that good, I might fly with her!  lol
