This shot comes from another....Street Photography Shoot.................................I can now see exactly why Pro. Don Mc Cullin likes having a 2.8-100 Macro lens on his camera for much of the time.

It is already primed and ready from the first, no fiddling with zoom to avoid distorted shots and no having to get right up the subjects nose as you would with a ...Nifty-Fifty short lens.

As you can see the focus is spot on....this is a full size, in-camera composition..............literally Point and Shoot from about ten or more feet away.......it does take some time to be able to internalise just how the lens...Sees......to enable you to size up and frame a shot, but the effort is worth it;

The other huge bonus of course is that you can shoot macro on your travels too:

It is a heavy, complicated lens, but I am willing to carry the extra weight in exchange for shots like this:

i think it's one of your nicest street subjects yet fuji..........there is something about it that i lam loving, just can't put my finger on it..!

Thank you Annie........Could it be that all three subjects seem to be totally within themselves, yet all part of the scene?

Strangely enough the shot has given rise to similar comments on the Mono Forum.

Jean............I am sure that Father Christmas could arrange for a 100mm lens to share?

Another little gem, Fooj. A very well-seen (and composed) character study that just oozes class.

Beautifully processed too. Well done! I'm so glad you saw the light and went mono!

The man on the right reminds me so much of Van Morrison.
