Camera broke :(

Recommended Posts

this morning I was taking photos and everything worked fine, but then I suddenly noticed that my screen did not want to switch on.
So my d7100 is now off for repair hoping the warranty will cover it.

I can not wait 4 weeks for a camera,.. so I have ordered a secondhand d80

Any thoughts about that cam? got it for £89
I hope I will like it enough to use it for 4 weeks and maybe keep it as second body

Was an entry level camera when released (10mp) but did a sterling job at the price. You'll find the noise at 800 ISO probably annoying compared to your current model, but a useful body to have in the bag for those glum days when you don't have your main equipment.

I started with a d3100,.. which was only 12MP i think and the ISO was not that good either. Most of my shots are outside and very seldom I put my ISO higher than 400.
I think 3fps is a little slow though.

It will be interesting but maybe also a challenge :)

I am just glad it got the 2 dials seperate for aperture and shutterspeed.
