Not wanting to hijack Terry's excellent post on the moon, I am posting one of the links here too.

From a general photography point of view I think the link has some great advice, simply because you take your camera out with you if there is nothing inspirational to photograph you are not obligated to use it. It's the proportion of good to bad pictures you take rather than the overall quantity that matters, so just think before you push the shutter button and if the view in the viewfinder does not inspire you don't bother.

You are only wearing out the camera anyway on stuff you will either later delete or simply clutter the computer up with to never use again. We need to get back to the old film mentality when it cost money for each shot and think before we press the button. Off my soapbox, shows how old I am dating from the days when each shot cost money and you only had 36 exposures at most to play with for the day and had to make most shots count.

Anyway here's the link with some very good advice, even if it does not fit the modern concept of using a digital camera like a machine gun, so don't force yourself to take pictures just because you think you have to, and if not in the mood don't bother because you will only produce rubbish anyway!
