Personally I would have croped the right hand and lost the arm then maybe a little off the top to leave the image  rectangular

I get what you mean. But I'd lose the criss cross effect of the lights which I like?

Thats where I said might about the top as i agree the cross is an integral part (It could be lowered in pp)

But you can crop the right tight and loose the arm then clone out the remaining mike boom

Dont let, what I would do influence you in any way its your image and I like it

I am so used to doing bits on my images I forget not everyone has pp software

I get what you mean. But I'd lose the criss cross effect of the lights which I like?

 

Here's an alternative : lose the arm, and a bit on the left to balance it up, but keep the vertical dimensions. It's more square, and there's a tiny bit of arm remaining (but you wouldn't know it was an arm if you didn't already!):

Nice pic Karen, no need to lose any of the image to get rid of the arm and mike boom just a bit of simple cloning will do it when you get a image editor.

Here's another 'cloning' : I've left in the mike stand on the right, otherwise you lose some of the word FESTIVAL, which cries out to be kept! (The drums could also go, but I thought they looked ok - part of the 'live ambience'.)

I actually like the first two - there's not much cloning possible anyway. I especially like #2 with the red and yellow - there's some mike 'clutter' that could be cloned out, but it's really ok I think. The first one just lacks a drummer!

The first two I like and echo chris's comment on number 2

The third although technically good the clipping of the hands and the inclusion of the pink thing in the right hand corner take something away from the image

BUT you could do this with it and I will get panned for loosing atmosphere etc but this would be the way I would go with it
