Pied Wagtail and friend (70D no noise reduction high ISO photos).

High ISO birds:

Spotted 2 Pied Wagtails (and one other interested party) around the local watering hole (that is, the big potholes in the street outside of the house!)

The afternoon had gone very dull, rain was on its way and the wind was starting to get up a bit more. The light was poor so I put the 70D into Auto ISO, dialled in Av to F/6.3 and let the camera do the rest. They are all between 1/640th sec & 1/800sec, and between ISO1600 & ISO3200.

The resulting images have ** no noise reduction ** done on them at all, nor I have I sharpened them up much - just for resizing for the web, but I may re-edit later using NR software and some high pass sharpening to see how much more can be teased out.

It just goes to show that in low light, the 70D gives decent results, even at ISO3200.

The site I work at has a resident flock of several hundred pied wagtails, love to sit and watch 'em pick flies, spiders etc. from building walls.

They're really well camouflaged in these shots too :)
