Taken whilst walking the dog tonight.  Saw this little patch of light in the trees.

edit:

The shot above a hot link to own website.  I have also posted the same image to Facebook as a 70% jpeg.  The JPEG on Facebook has for more saturation, the greens are a lot more vivid and the whole image is warmer.  Any idea why and how to avoid this?

I'm not a Farcebook user but I'm guessing images are uploaded directly to the site as opposed to direct linking such as here? FB will most likely use their own compression software to keep image size, and therefore storage space to a minimum, which is affecting the overall appearance of the image.

Have you tried uploading a test shot that has been desaturated slightly? If all your images uploaded to FB have the same amount of saturation added it shouldn't be too difficult to work out how much desaturation work to do on your uploads.

Just a thought :)

I haven't thought much about it, but now you mention it, pictures on FB do seem to be more 'colourful' than elsewhere. It could be that Little Mark Zuckerboy wants to see everything 'colour by numbers' like he saw last year in primary school.
