I was just saying the other day that I haven't seen a starfish in ages - they were all over the beaches and rock pools when I was growing up but the boys have only ever seen one or two at most.

 

Then we found dozens of them on a wander today.

The tide was going out leaving some of them in tiny exposed rock pools so a hunt and a shift to deeper waters seemed like a good way to spend a half hour or so.
